How to find us

The Bluecoat is in the heart of Chester, on Upper Northgate Street, near the Town Hall, Storyhouse, Chester Market and Chester Cathedral.

Parking

As The Bluecoat is located in Chester City centre, we do not have a dedicated car park. The building is within walking distance of the Garden Lane,  Delamere Street and New Market car parks.

Public transport

The Bluecoat is a short walk from the bus station. The bus service timetables are available in the link here

Chester railway station is a 20-minute walk from The Bluecoat.

Cycling

The Chester Bluecoat Charity has bike racks available, however due to the Grade II* listing status of the Bluecoat building, they are at the rear of the building. Any visitor who wishes to park their bike onsite will need to ask a member of staff to grant them access to the bike racks.

There are also bike racks at the new indoor Cycle Hub at Chester Market on Northgate Street and a covered bike rack at the rear of Fountains Medical Practice on Delamere Street.
